We love our kitchen! We worked with Dimension Design for over one year before we committed to sign with them. Dave was very patient and worked hard to put my ideas on paper until we were sure about the finished product to our satisfaction. Once the project started Dave was very accommodating and ready to work with our wishes during the construction period. I would recommend this construction company without hesitation. They did a beautiful job to create our dream kitchen within our budget. 

We didn’t think a basement remodel could be stress-free, but it was. From initial design concepts (you knew what we wanted better than we did!) to having a more functional space in our home, Dave and Jonathan let us know what to expect from start to finish. The design’s functionality keeps our busy lives organized throughout the year. Our new space is “us,” as it changed our lives, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. 

Dave truly cares about building healthy homes and this is reflected in the quality of the materials used throughout his properties. As a Building Biologist, I have tested thousands of new homes for pollutants and Dave’s homes are far superior to anything I’ve tested from the standpoint of air quality and health-supporting environments. 

We were so happy with these guys. Work was good, nice people to work with and most of all…if you had a problem with anything, they were ready to deal with it and resolve it. My friend hired a different designing firm and was so unhappy! I was not with Dimension Inc. 

I have known Dave for a few years, as we met through the Milwaukee Metropolitan Builders Association, and I have worked with him on the business side. I referred one of my clients to him to evaluate a large project they were looking at. Throughout the process, Dave was professional and prompt with his follow-up. His advice and suggestions were great, and he provided my clients with a tour of Wisconsin’s first “Healthy Home” built by his company. Dave’s industry knowledge and professionalism are second to none. Plus, I have learned a lot about healthy building and living. This was partial bathroom remodel that was a little tricky because we wanted to repair and replace a failing tile floor while not damaging or disrupting the whole bathroom. The contractor was up front in the beginning with possible worst case scenarios so we wouldn’t have any surprises. The demolition went well and was done carefully so as not to damage the parts of the bathroom we were keeping. The backer board and tile install were not the easiest because of some tight spaces but they took their time to make sure the cuts were right, and it came out looking great. Overall, the job was kept very clean, communication between the contractor and us was good, and the finished product looks great. 

For 19 years, we lived in a 940 square foot high rise on Milwaukee’s lower east side. Our quandary – move or renovate.  After meeting with Dimension Design-Build-Remodel, we decided, “We’re renovating.” 

Our challenges were aesthetics, functionality, and the utilization of limited space – they aren’t anymore. The plans were innovative, beautiful, and pragmatic.  The outcome is, essentially, a new home we’ll never leave. 

The process was smooth and that isn’t easy in a high-rise condo. Whether it was choosing designs and appliances or working with the city, our management company or our neighbors, processes were handled in a timely and thoughtful manner. Dimension Design-Build-Remodel made a tough process much less stressful. 

One final note, we asked to be back in our place by Christmas – they got it done, which was a great Christmas gift.

We originally thought to dry wall the whole basement, but Dimension suggested to divide the basement into two parts and leave the utility room as is, which would be a cheaper project but turned out to be perfect for our purposes. 

Dave at Dimension is one of the best contractors a homeowner can wish for. He is knowledgeable and resourceful but not condescending at all. He puts out a design very personalized and yet always has an eye on functionality. 

We enjoy our basement tremendously. We will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends. 

They gave me an estimate for remodeling a kitchen, first floor, bathroom, master bath remodel project. They are very professional. I had nothing but good things to think about them during the process. It just came down to a cost issue. Their bid process was cleaner than any other one I had. In one swoop, they brought every sub-contractor in at one time. They were good. 

We used Dimension to construct a lower level bathroom in our townhouse in June 2010. It was a build from scratch, including the need to relocate and add some plumbing lines (and access others though the lower level concrete floor), add walls and electricity, provide finished cabinetry and tile work. While we did not want to over-improve the space, we wanted a simple classic look that would blend into the finishes in the rest of our home and not look like an add-on or after-thought. 

We were pleased with Dimension’s work. Dave Kallie paid attention to the details in the planning process and prepared a thoughtful design. He presented us a detailed timeline and budget, and Dimension adhered to it throughout. The work was of very good quality. And when the occasional issue arose – as they always seem to in projects like this – they responsive in resolving any problem and finding ways of dealing with the unexpected. My wife and I met Dimension Design, Build, Remodel Inc owner David Kallie in 2012 while visiting some kitchen remodeling open houses in our local community of Brookfield. We were very impressed with Mr. Kallie’s workmanship and his professionalism. 

In August 2012, we decided we wanted to remodel our condo kitchen and immediately remembered having met Mr. Kallie. We contacted him shortly thereafter and begin working with him on our kitchen remodeling project. The project was a complete remodel of our kitchen including replacement of a peninsula with an island, most cabinets, appliances, and lighting fixtures, all countertops, and relocating the sink and electric range and ovens. 

David was very creative and responsive in developing a plan, which we wanted executed while we were in Arizona for the winter. He would be working with our decorator friend as facilitator in our absence throughout the project. The project was completed on schedule just as we returned from Arizona in April 2013, and at our budgeted amount.

My house in Brookfield was the third house I had some remodeling done in by a professional company. I have done two kitchen remodels and hired Dave with Dimension to remodel a master bathroom. 

Dave was a great contractor to work with in all facets (planning, pricing, demolition, remodeling, and finish work). He has a design background, so he was thoughtful in making suggestions to the architect’s/professional designer’s plans. He communicated often and was always available to answer questions (even on a Saturday morning). 

One of Dave’s subs installed the steam piping in the shower incorrectly. Upon being notified that the steam was near the bench instead of near the door, Dave had the problem corrected expeditiously with no additional cost to the me. Dave did this without complaining even though I could have noticed the plumber’s error when it was roughed in instead of noticing it after the tile had been installed. 

This project came in on time and within budget. Dave was the first contractor I have worked with that did not “change order” me to death. While we had changes to the project, and pursuant to the contract he could have issued/charged for a change order, Dave did not charge me because the changes did not increase the cost of the project. 

After hearing all the horror stories about contractors that are floating around, we were hesitant to start our much needed bathroom and kitchen remodeling projects. When we finally decided to move ahead, and began gathering bathroom estimates, we saw it all. 

Some contractors insisted on telling us how they were going to do the job; others were too agreeable, and presented lightweight estimates that we knew were too good to be true. When we found Dimension, Inc., and met Dave Kallie, everything changed. He really listened to our ideas and worked with us on developing a remodeling plan that included significant improvements, while also staying within our modest budget.

First, great workmanship. I’ve known Dave for probably 15 years and didn’t feel the need to shop around because I think very highly of him. The work in both the bathroom and the kitchen certainly supported my trust. Everything looks great and is sure to add significant value to my house. Second, Dimension is sensitive to cost. Dave suggested several ways I could save money (for example, I did the demo work, picked up a lot of the supplies, etc.) and suggested appropriate expenditures for the kind of house I have—i.e., high quality but nothing over the top. Third, Dave’s architecture background was very helpful in the design. His suggestions certainly saved me from some bad decisions and resulted in work that exceeded my expectations.

Believe it or not, my wife hates shopping. Many men might consider that a blessing. However, my wife does have exquisite taste and a knack for decorating which can be very costly at times. We both agreed my bathroom needed renovation to provide increased handicap accessibility. We discussed the subject for well over a year, lacking the motivation to start shopping for renovation products. Then we found the website for Dimension Design, Build, Remodel Inc. 

Dave (the project manager/owner) at Dimension Inc. was a perfect match for us. He listened carefully to our ideas for the project without interjecting personal opinions, and then provided a contract proposal complete with every detail of the project including scope of work, clean up, and payment schedules. His close attention to detail and projections provided a very realistic timeline, which was important in our planning since the alternate bathroom in the home is not handicap ready. 

Dave provided a list of preferred suppliers which took the mystery out of the shopping portion of our responsibility. He directed us to tile and fixture stores that are known for their professionalism. Within 10 minutes at the tile store my wife had completed her selections for my bathroom. Fixture shopping was also as quick. 

The 1970’s bathroom disappeared and was replaced by polite, punctual, and skilled craftsmen. My wife is somewhat of a perfectionist, and she has nothing but praise for the entire crew and the end product. We have developed a great deal of respect and trust for everyone involved with this project, and some participants have been asked back to the home to complete projects unrelated to the bathroom. 

The best news is we stayed within an acceptable budget and had enough funds to include a beautiful tile mural of a mermaid placed above the toilet. My bathroom has become a regular feature of the tour offered to our guests. 

We own a home that was built in 1955. We still had the original windows. It was time for us to invest in new windows and Dimension Design-Build-Remodel did a fabulous job on our windows and one new door. We will definitely call them for future projects.

We had both bathrooms remodeled going from one and a half bathrooms to two full baths. Our kitchen countertops, flooring, and painting was all redone and our basement was remodeled giving me a beautiful new “Man Cave” – workout area, sitting area, library shelving, a new pantry, two new enclosed storage areas, and lots of other shelving.
